3 week s later.......it keeps dropping the programing, so it keeps defaulting. I finally got fed up and am replacing it. I keep watching this page for a response from monster and have yet to see one. I would love to use this product, but it does not work at all, I am boxing it up and sending it back.

I have my second device now. First one switched to other outputs for no reason.
Second one sometimes shows same symptoms .
I am looking for a new television set with multiple-build in HDMI inputs so tha i can throw this chunk of knobs into the garbage can.
I paid far to much money for it like a lot of other Monster Cable products.
Don't try to match it with Logitech Harmony One Advanced remote because it does not respond.

When I took this out of the box and hooked it up I immediately had issues with it defaulting to input number two. I then went out and checked monster.com, because for such an expensive box, and monster does not make junk I knew there would be a solution. A previous reviewer said programing all three inputs would solve the issue. This is correct, once I programed my cable remote using the three most common codes 111,115,116, I no longer have any problem, and it preforms very well. Switching is seamless and easy. It has expanded a 2 HDMI TV that is hard to change sources on to a 5 that switches easily. I cannot recommend this product because the start up was so rocky, you should just be able to leave it manual with no glitchy behavior. It does work well no, great picture and sound, horrible instructions

This product is a little confusing at first, but works great once you figure it out. I suspect that most of the negative reviews are due to people programming the device incorrectly. If you don't understand how the "learn" mode works, it's fairly easy to program it to switch to a different port / device when that is not your intention. In other words, you can inadvertently program it to change ports when you press your channel up or mute button on your remote, which will make it switch devices.

I am an installer. This switch gets me more call backs than anything else i have ever worked with. DO NO BUY. It will switch by itself.
